How long does an inspection take?
Inspection time varies depending on vehicle type and condition. We confirm the expected timing when booking.
What happens if my vehicle fails inspection?
If defects are identified, we will explain what needs to be addressed before certification can be issued.
Do you inspect heavy vehicles?
Yes. We are approved to inspect and issue COIs for heavy vehicles up to and over 16 tonne GVM within our approval limits.
Can you issue mod plates locally?
Yes. We are authorised to inspect and issue MR Modification Plates within our approved scope.
How long is a Safety Certificate valid?
A Safety Certificate is valid for a limited period and a number of transfers. If you are selling a vehicle, it must be current at the time of sale. Contact us if you are unsure about validity requirements.
What is the difference between a Safety Certificate and a COI?
A Safety Certificate applies primarily to light vehicles and trailers, confirming they meet minimum safety standards. A Certificate of Inspection applies to certain heavy vehicles and regulated categories requiring formal compliance certification.
